PureSleep is a snoring solution that you have probably heard of before. It was one of the first devices of its kind and has even been shown on Good Morning America. Nothing against this product, but since it is a little older most of the competition is either comparable or ahead of it in some way. Nonetheless, I’ll give you all the facts and let you decide.
Benefits
This is a jaw retaining mouthpiece. That being said, it can work for you if your jaw is what causes you to snore. Everyone else is out of luck. That’s why it did not work for me.
The main benefit of this specific device is that it is moldable so you get a better fit. However, that is a pretty standard feature these days. So many competitors have popped up that this solution doesn’t even really stand out anymore.
One nice benefit is that this product is actually FDA cleared. That is something you don’t see often and a true mark of quality. We will cover this in more detail in the next section.
Proof
PureSleep has two big things going for it in this area. Those are the fact that it is FDA cleared, and it has also been around the block a few times since it is an older design. It is definitely safe to say that it works for some but not all.
If you do a little research with the BBB the PureSleep company will pop up. Some of it was good, but some of it worried me. This company has had 8 complaints filed with the BBB about them.
Just keep in mind that those seven complaints were over a period of several years. After looking closer it was no surprise to see that the issues were with refunds and the product not performing. This solution is not for everyone.
The manufacturer also offers a 30 day money back guarantee. This is plenty of time to see if the device works for you or not. Really you should know well within a week.
Differences
There aren’t any big differences that set this device apart from the others like it. It molds to your mouth just like most other jaw retainers and doesn’t offer any adjustment beyond that. That is certainly an indication of the design’s age.
Real World Use
Although this product can work for jaw snorers, many people don’t fit that description. That is one of the reasons that the user reports are so hit or miss. Even though it can work for jaw snorers, there are too many devices that give better results to recommend this one.
Of those that try it though, they can expect a fair chance of some discomfort initially. I didn’t stick with mine long enough to see if it would go away or not. Once I found that it did not work for me personally I moved on to the next solution.
PureSleep was once a high quality snoring solution. That is no longer the case due to increased competition and constantly improving designs. With a price tag of $59.90 plus shipping and handling there are far better options available.
Even if your jaw is the problem I recommend finding a different device to try. This one is simply too old and essentially outdated.
